When are the changes to youth football coming into effect?
The country-wide implementation of changes will begin from the 2026/27 season. However there will be the opportunity for stakeholders to adopt some changes early where desired. This lead-in time provides a sufficient window in which to prepare for the impending changes and ensure a smooth transition.
In September 2025 to mark the One Year to Go point we will share a full plan with audiences so you know when the relevant support and resources will be made available to you in the following 12 months.
