No, as part of implementing the new pathway from the 2026/27 season there will be no requirement on teams to move back to a smaller format. In order to aid the smooth transition some age groups will be required to play three seasons at a given format rather than the current two but this will continue to expose them to the benefits of smaller formats for longer.
